What our Creative Team did all weekend
Salon International took place between the 15th-17th of October. The Creative Team were busy throughout the weekend, and in high demand to appear on stages such as The Fellowship & HJ. The team were hard at work during the three-day event and put on a fantastic show for RUSH Live.
The first day of Salon International was mostly aimed at trade, although it was busy at the RUSH stand, it wasn’t as crazy as the Sunday and Monday! RUSH’s Jamie Benny appeared on the Fellowship Stage throughout the weekend. He appeared on stage on behalf of the F.A.M.E Team twice on Saturday, he has been a member of the team since 2016. Both appearances on Saturday attracted a huge crowd, the crowd consisted of eager hairdressers keen to see what looks the F.A.M.E Team would create. On Saturday, Andy Heasman, Tina Farey and Chris Williams were on the HJ stage, and the Fellowship stage. They informed the crowd about two new fashion movements; S&M Punk and Sports Lux.
On day two of Salon International, the F.A.M.E Team were on the Fellowship stage a couple of times throughout the day. On Sunday Jamie showed off his incredible collection of short brightly coloured hair cuts. Andy and the team were also on the Fellowship Stage on Sunday, warming the crowd up for RUSH Live. Whilst the teams were on the stage, the Workshop Team were on the RUSH stage showcasing their creations.
Once the day was over, the team could start their final preparations for RUSH LIVE. The inspiration for this year was ‘S&M Punk and Sports Lux’. The show was incredible- read more on the blog post about RUSH Live to see the looks from the show.
Monday was the last day of Salon International and was popular with students. The Workshop Team were busy on stage throughout the day, recreating Sunday evenings looks, which the students were amazed by, as a lot of them couldn’t make RUSH Live. Jess Quarmby also joined the Workshop Team on stage. Jess has got a busy week ahead of her as her East Grinstead salon is opening this Saturday!
