Rush Hair & Beauty have some very exciting news! On Sunday 22nd of January, Andy Phouli announced to the group his amazing news, Rush have secured a £16 million investment from LDC.
The annual Rush Oscars took place on the 22nd of January at the Savoy Theatre, London. The awards are thoroughly looked forward to by each and every staff member. After the awards finished, there was a huge after party at Tiger Tiger! Thank you again to the Savoy Theatre and Tiger Tiger for being so accommodating.
The Rush family had an amazing 2016. With the opening of 11 new hair salons, 4 existing salons having a revamp we cannot wait to see what 2017 will bring. We welcomed new customers and new staff and couldn’t be prouder of everything that has been achieved.
RUSH Cambridge turned 1 on Monday 28th November and what a wonderful year it has been for them. We are so proud of our 80+ salons across the UK and are happy to celebrate whenever one of our salons has a birthday!

On Saturday 12th September, Rush opened their 70th salon in Liverpool making it their first salon in the North of England, expanding outside of London and the South East. Rush have undergone a huge business expansion in the last year, rapidly growing nationwide within their franchise division. In the past 4 months Rush has opened 4 franchise salons with a target of reaching lots more by the end of 2015 to grow Rush’s overall salon presence across the UK.
People choose to franchise for a variety of reasons. From being unable to reach your full potential in your current career, lack of flexibility in the workplace, or simply wanting to be your own boss using a tried and tested business model. Women deciding to go into self-employment are increasingly more drawn to franchising as they are able to start a business confidently with the ongoing support and training from an established brand.
Rush Kilburn opened its doors in July 2015 with long standing Rush stylist, a specialist in Afro-Caribbean hair and now Rush franchisee, Nita Brainch. Nita will be bringing a touch of glamour to Kilburn High Street. Previously working at Rush’s flagship salon‘The House of Rush’ in Piccadilly, Nita has built an array of clients over her 8 year hairdressing career. Nita wanted to take the next step and pursue her passion to open her own Rush salon.

Why did you decide to open a Rush franchise?
My passion is for hairdressing but I also have strong business acumen so franchising was the next logical step for me. Rush really supports all their employees and encourages growth within the company through their various training courses, I wanted to pursue the business side of hairdressing and to own my own salon so decided to franchise.
The Hair UK show finished last week and was a great success. Over 27,000 hair and beauty professionals all gathered under one roof alongside the 600 industry professionals at their stands.
The Rush team had a stand set up right by the entrance and spoke to many people in the industry about recruitment and franchising opportunities.
Rush co-founder Stell Andrew took to the Style Stage and spoke about Rush’s position in the global hair industry and the future expansion plans for Rush.
Rush are heading to Hair UK at the NEC Birmingham on Sunday 10th – Monday 11th May speaking about career and franchising opportunities. The biggest names in the industry will be showcasing the latest business ventures, training and career opportunities this weekend at the Hair UK exhibition.
