Rush People

Follow the journey of some of our staff members and see what they enjoy about working for a leading hair and beauty salon group.

Sophie Chandler

Sophie started her journey with Rush on our hair apprentice programme in 2009; she grew in her craft, gaining knowledge in her skill and technique.

As a stylist, she entered our in house Photographic Competition and won 1st place and a budget funded by Rush to enter the British Hairdressing Awards in 2014; Sophie’s collection was selected as a finalist in the Newcomer of the Year category.

Sophie’s talent then won her a place in Rush’s Workshop Team, within the Session Team, working alongside Editorial Director, Tina Farey. Sophie continues to grow from strength to strength, running a column of regular clients in our Croydon salon.

Dale Hearne

Dale started with Rush as an assistant in our Croydon salon aged 19. With his calming temperament and charismatic personality, Dale progressed through the company quickly as a senior stylist where he found a new passion in teaching, through helping his fellow colleagues grow alongside him.

He received the qualifications needed to work in our Rush NVQ School and Academy, where he now shares his hairdressing experience and knowledge. With his continuous passion and drive, Dale saw no boundaries and joined the Rush Workshop Team and then earned his rightful place on the Rush Artistic Team in 2015.

Jamie Benny

Jamie burst on to the scenes starting his career with Rush in 2009; he quickly set himself apart from the rest showing his creative flare, landing him a place on the Rush Workshop Team, within the Session team.

Working with our Editorial Director Tina Farey, he travelled the globe and has worked with top brand named designers on their fashion shows and shoots.

Jamie’s strong determination and passion won him his first British Hairdressing Award and title, Newcomer of the year 2014 and then as an Artistic Team Member in 2015. Recognising Jamie’s skill, passion, determination and hard work, Rush awarded him an Outstanding Achievement award.
