Rush Live 2015 Roundup
Rush Live for the first time came to Salon International, the UK’s largest hair industry exhibition last Sunday. It was an inspirational night showcasing the collections from the leading team members of Rush’s Creative Teams raising £10,000 for Great Ormond Street.
Rush International Creative Director and Co-Founder, Stell Andrew, opened the show
Several rounds of mexican waves filled the room, with each full loud wave resulting in a large donation from Rush to the children’s charity. Stell then handed over to Laura Savoury, Head of Community Fundraising for Great Ormond Street Charity,Thank you for being here, without you this event wouldn’t happen. Everyone who’s bought tickets – you’re saving lives, so thank you. Thank you to the sponsors – Hairdressers Journal, Maletti, iSalon, KMS and L’Oréal Professionnel for continuing to support this charity and doing an amazing job”
I’d like to thank Stell and everyone at Rush. Since Rush Live have been supporting Great Ormond Street they have raised over £100,000. You have helped to fund a new wing in the hospital and theatre room for children having multiple complex surgeries”
Currently all funds from Rush Live are going towards a new respiratory unit due to open in 2017 for Children with Cystic Fibrosis. Over 700 people attended Rush Live this year, held upstairs in the London ExCeL centre during Salon International, the 3 day UK hair exhibition.
The first collection on stage was Rush Artistic Team’s collection of sharp angular lines and bright graphic colours, headed by International Artistic Director Andy Heasman and International Colour Director Chris Williams.
